Neck Pain Treatment

A Specific Approach to Address the Cause of Your Symptoms
Neck pain can be truly disabling. It can affect your quality of life and ability to do your job, take care of your family, exercise, and do activities you love. The first step is to figure out what is causing your pain by doing a thorough examination. Once we figure out what tissues are causing the pain, we will develop a treatment plan to correct the problem—not just temporarily, but for good. The adjustments we do are specific, targeted based on your spinal curves and misalignments. The adjustments are combined with spinal rehabilitation exercises to help strengthen and stabilize your spine, muscles, and ligaments. We get lasting results for our patients!

Step 1
Assessment
The first step to figuring out what is causing your symptoms is an examination and history. We will do a thorough assessment to determine what areas of your spine are affected. When spinal bones have lost their normal joint motion and have shifted out of place, this leads to tension, stiffness, pain, lost mobility, pressure on nerves, and overall loss of function. If other tests are required, such as an x-ray or MRI, we will let you know so we can give you the best care.

We often get questions regarding the following conditions, and we can treat patients with a history of any of the following (including but not limited to):
-> Sprain/strain
-> Whiplash
-> Falls
-> Herniated discs
-> Scoliosis
-> Fibromyalgia
-> Osteoporosis
-> Osteoarthritis/Degenerative Joint Disease
-> Neck surgeries, including artificial discs, fusions, metal in the spine, etc.
Step 2
Review Results & Treatment Plan
We know that knowledge is power, and we will help you understand your condition, treatment options, and prognosis. We'll review the primary tissues involved, the severity of your condition, and how we will monitor your progress along the way.
Step 3
Treatment & Follow-Up
We have high standards when it comes to your care. Our adjustments and spinal exercises are specific, based on your spinal curves and misalignments. This is why we get results when other treatments have failed. Our treatments are holistic, designed to help you be more aware of your body and help you release stored stress and tension. We empower you by helping you shift any habits and lifestyle choices that may be affecting your health and well-being.

In our office we use a number of different treatment approaches, depending on the person's condition. We use a holistic approach, with breath and body awareness exercises, spinal rehabilitation exercises, specific spinal adjustments, and several chiropractic techniques, including Thompson drop, Diversified, Network Spinal, Activator, Webster, and more.

We will monitor your progress along the way and help you stay on track to get lasting results. We're here for you!

Testimonials
Taka
"Every time I receive my treatment, I can clearly notice the before and after. We live our days not noticing the stress or pain we carry with us, which can lead to serious consequences later on. Dr. Amy has been helping me take notice and preventing me from injuries from sports and other daily routines. I greatly recommend her for everybody as we are all carrying similar issues, just in a different way."

"Working with Dr. Amy is a delight from start to end. Dr. Amy is gentle, very intuitive, compassionate, and professional. Her way of working with clients is nothing you would expect from a chiropractor—but then it is a unique way of working with the body, the spine, and the structural issues related to it. Her work goes much deeper. It touches emotional and mental aspects that aren't spoken about but come to the surface when the body gets invited by a soft touch here and there. Brilliantly holistic and effective."

"I was advised by a friend of mine to find a practitioner to release tension in my spine after a major burnout. I found Dr. Amy Hawthorne online. From the moment I met her, I fell in love with her gentle way of being and the touch she applied. Now, after several treatments, I am feeling a lot better in different ways. I highly recommend anyone who needs some work done on the spine in a very gentle way to go to this amazingly beautiful lady."
